Description
SUITABLE:
Geoscientists working on carbonate environments (geologist, geophysicist, reservoir engineer, petro physicist).
OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the course, delegates will:
- Be able to list the main sedimentological characteristics of carbonate rocks;
- Be able to define typical carbonate geometries;
- Know how to correlate on logs carbonate reservoir, using sequence stratigraphy methodology;

- Be able to relate phenomena observed on outcrops to typical carbonate reservoir problems
SUMMARY:
- Introduction to carbonate facies
- Sedimentological characteristics
- Carbonate environments and facies models
- Diagenesis and porosity evolution
- Sequence stratigraphy
